Technoport talks: Atle Harby, CEDREN, Hydro storage - a renewable battery
Atle Harby is a Senior Scientist at SINTEF Energy Research. He has varied professional practice in environmental engineering with emphasis on environmental impacts of river regulations, water resources problems and climate change impacts. He has many years of experience in research collaboration and management of multi-disciplinary projects. Atle Harby is now the Director of CEDREN, a research centre focusing on technical, environmental and political challenges in hydropower development as well as environmental impacts of wind power and transmission lines and a sustainable electricity grid development. Atle has especially worked with opportunities and challenges related to using hydropower for balancing services and energy storage in the future energy system.

Technoport Talks are inspiring presentations that are designed to show the possibilities and disseminate knowledge on role of technolgy in the transition to a green economy.
