Anti-war activist Brian Becker says the U.S. is trying to destroy historic political ties between Pyongyang and China by creating a military confrontation. The UN's worried that any wrong steps in the crisis could spin the situation on the Korean peninsula out of control. But the organisation is failing to bring the sides to the negotiating table - raising questions over its influence or usefulness as an international peace broker.
