82 year old Butch Marion is FINALLY enjoying a well-earned retirement!
This thanks to a chance encounter with a TikTok influencer! Marion was working at Walmart when TikToker Rory McCarty learned the elderly gent's history, which included a stint in the Navy, and joining Walmart after his wife died sixteen years ago.
McCarty's TikTok video of Marion went viral, and helped push a GoFundMe to over a hundred and twenty thousand dollars!
Marion was finally able to retire, and said he was going to pay off some bills, and use some of the money to visit his daughter and grandchildren, who he hasn't seen in years, in Florida.
We often hear about the negative side of social media but there's also positive aspects to it as well, and this is a perfect example of one.
