It won't exactly make kids' brains bigger, but a high-quality breakfast could make them more likely to succeed on standardized tests.
That was the outcome for nearly 5,000 9- to 11-year-old students in a new study from Cardiff University in the UK. Kids in this study who ate a healthy breakfast every day were almost twice as likely as those who didn't eat breakfast to earn an above-average score on a standardized test months later.
