Aly Calvo and Andrea Kulberg are the founders of Rock Star U (www.AlyandAndrea.com and www.facebook.com/alyandrea) and coach and speak to audiences all over the US, UK and Asia. As adversity experts and identical twins, Aly and Andrea present together on stage, and share a humorous, inspiring, and totally unique perspective on overcoming tremendous challenges. Some of their victories include being World Champion and All-American Athletes, executive coaches, keynote speakers, international business owner, Olympic Torch bearer, actress, and global spokesperson. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx, which consists of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDxStCharles, TEDTalks video and live speakers combined to spark discussion and connection with industry experts, passionate leaders, and folks who want to make a difference. Topics discussed at TEDxStCharles included leadership, personal branding and motivation. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
