Korea′s southern resort island of Jeju is going to get a second airport.
The country′s transport ministry says the airport is needed to handle an increasing number of visitors to the island. As you can see，... the airport will be located on the southern side of the island near Seogwipo city. If all goes as planned，... it will be open by 2025.
As it stands now，... Jeju is only served by Jeju International Airport.
The ministry says this airport is currently under strain with an increase in the number of travelers.
More than 23 million people passed through Jeju International Airport last year.
This figure is forecast to top 32 million by 2020.
